UNIFORCE® is proud to be the only line of tactical eyewear with a transitional lens that meets ANSI Z87.1 Optical impact standards.

Lenses in NXT® are urethene transitional lenses that react to various levels of UV short wave light exposure. As UV light from the sun hits the surface of a lens in NXT®, optical polymers within the lens begin to alter their shape. As the shape of these polymers changes, the structural design of the lens adjusts the refraction of light on the lens’ surface. The resulting effect transgorms the lens from clear indoor tint to a dark outdoor, high light lens. At maximum exposure lenses in NXT® can reach 90% of their full darkness range in less than one minute! With the removal of UV exposure, the optical
polymers will then return to their original shape in the lens will “snap back” to it’s original tint.
